ఆస్కార్ వైల్డ్ కవిత్వపు అందాలు చూద్దాం .

1-The soul is born old but grows young .That is the comedy of life .the body is born young grows old .That is life’s tragedy .

2-All women become like their mothers .that is their tragedy .no man does .that is his .

జాన్ రస్కిన్ గురించి రాస్తూ ‘’I learned nothing but what was good .there is you some thing of prophet ,of priest and of poet  and you the god’s gave eloquence such as they have given to none other ,so that your message might come for us with the fire of passion and the marvel of music ,making the deaf to hear and the blind to see ‘’.అన్నాడు వైల్డ్  అత్యంత వినయం గా ..

మహా కవి కీట్స్ సమాధి దగ్గర నేల మీద గడ్డిలో బోర్లా పడి  భక్తీ ప్రపత్తులు చూపిన కవితా పిపాసి . కీట్స్ పై అత్యంత భక్తీ ప్రపత్తులు ఉన్న వాడు  . కీట్స్ సమాధిని ‘’holiest place in Rome ‘’అన్నాడు .వైల్డ్ మహా మేధావి అయితే పోజు కొట్టటం అతని నైజం అన్నారు .

‘’there is nothing like youth .The middle aged are mortgaged to life ..the old one in life’s lumber rooms .youth is the lord of life .youth is the lord of life .youth have a kingdom waiting for it .’’అని యవ్వనాన్ని యువకులను మెచ్చాడు .

తన జీవితాన్ని గూర్చి చెబుతూ ‘’my whole life was but a school boy’s dream .To day my life begins ‘’అంటూ   నిండుగా నిగర్వం గా చెప్పాడు .అమెరికా ను కనుక్కున్నారు అనటం పొరబాటు .దాన్ని గుర్తించారు అంతే అన్నాడు .వాల్ట్ విట్మన్ అనే అమెరికా కవి గురించి ‘’this marvelous lord of rhythmic expression .’’.విట్మన్ వైల్డ్ ను ముద్దు పెట్టుకున్నప్పుడు స్పందించి ‘’the spirit who living blamelessly but dared to kiss the smitten

mouth of his own century ‘’అని పొంగి పోయి చెప్పాడు .అమెరికా దేశం దేవుడు అంటే సౌభాగ్యమే అని కితాబు ఇచ్చాడు .ఇంగ్లాడ్ దేశం కవి బతికి ఉన్నంత వరకు గుర్తించదు. చచ్చి పోయిన తర్వాత నెత్తికి ఎత్తు కొంటుంది అని చురక వేశాడు .లాంగ్  ఫెలో గురించి రాస్తూ ‘’Long fellow is himself a great poem .more beautiful than any thing he ever wrote .He is a great poet only for those who never read poetry .జీవితం అనే పుస్తకం తోటలో మొగ ఆడ లతో ప్రారంభం అవుతుందని అది బహిరంగమై ముగుస్తుంది  అన్నాడు  .’’the proper basis of marriage is a mutual misunderstanding ‘’ .

కళగురించి అద్భుతం గా చెప్పాడు ఆస్కార్ ‘’art takes life aspart of her rough material ,recreates it and re fashions it in fresh forms ..it is absolutely indifferent to fact invents ,imagines dreams and keeps between herself and reality ,the impenetrable barrier of beautiful style of decorative or radical treatment ‘’.

ఆస్కార్ వైల్డ్ చివరి రోజుల్లో పారిస్ లో అడుక్కుంటూ  బతికాడు .అక్కడ ఒక రోజు నెల్లి మేల్బా అనే ఆవిడ తారస పడితే ‘’I am going to ask you money ‘’అని నిస్సంకోచం గా అడిగాడు.అంతకు  ముందు చాలా కాలం క్రితం ఆమె తో ‘’I am the lord of language and you are the queen of song and so I suffice ,I shall have to write you a sonnet ‘’అన్నాడు.కాలంఎంత మార్చిందో చూడండి. ఓడలు బళ్ళు అయ్యాయి అంటే ఇదే నెమో ?.చావు  సమీపిస్తుంటే ‘’I did not know it was such a pain to die .I thought that life had taken  all  the agonies to itself .Every one is born a king and most people die in exile .-like most kings ‘’అని వేదాంత ధోరణి లో చెప్పాడు

ఆస్కార్ వైల్డ్ ఎప్పుడూ ఒక కద చెప్పే వాడట ./’’ఒక ఎడారిలో బోసి నోటి సింహం కన్పించింది .పాపం ‘’Androcles  అనే పళ్ళు కట్టే వాడు జాలి పడి దానికి ఎంతో నేర్పుగా బంగారు పళ్ళు స్వయం గా తయారు చేసి దాని నోటికి అమర్చాడు . .అతను క్రిస్టియన్ అవటం వలన రోమన్లు సర్కస్  కంపెనీ లో ఉన్న ఈ  సింహానికి ఆహారం గా వేశారు .ఆ సింహం అతడిని గుర్తు పట్టింది .అయ్యో నాకు సహాయం చేశాడు కదా కృతజ్ఞత చెప్పాలను కొన్నది .అతని పని తనానికి గొప్ప కానుక ఇవ్వాలను కొన్నది .రెండు గుటకల్లో వాడిని మింగేసి, తన పళ్ళ బలం ,లాఘవం వాడి  నేర్పరితనం యొక్క గొప్పతనం  చూపించింది ‘’.

ఇంత గొప్ప జీనియస్ గురించి సవివరం గా రాశాడు రచయిత .చదివి ఎంత సంతోషించానో మాటల్లో చెప్పలేను .ఈ అనుభవం మహా గొప్పది .జీవిత చరమ సంధ్యలో ఇబ్బందులు ,మచ్చలు  పడినా  అంటే ‘’స్కార్ ‘’ఏర్పడినా ‘’ఆస్కార్’’ ఇవాల్టి ‘’ఆస్కార్ అవార్డ్ ‘’తో సమానమైన వాడు .’’ఐరిష్ టవర్ ‘’అని పిస్తాడు .’’డర్బన్ దర్బాన్ ‘’.విమర్శక టార్జాన్ .విజ్ఞాన నిభాన్ .అందరి చేతా అభిమాన పురస్కారాలందుకొన్నా ,కొందరితో తిరస్కారాలు పొందినా ఎప్పటికీ , నిత్య యవ్వనుడే .సంజీవరెడ్డి మామూలుగా అనే మాటల్లో చెప్పాలంటే ‘’goody goody ‘’ యే వైల్డ్ ఆస్కార్  .’’లిటరరీ లార్డ్ అండ్ బోల్డ్ ‘’ఆస్కార్ వైల్డ్ .
