ఎమర్సన్ కవితా వైభవం

వ్యక్తిత్వం ,స్వాతంత్ర్యం ,ఆత్మకు బాహ్య ప్రపంచానికి ఉన్న సంబంధం ,ప్రక్రుతి మొదలైన విషయాలపై ఎమర్సన్ ఎన్నో వ్యాసాలూ రాశాడు .ఆయన ప్రకృతిని తాత్విక దృష్టితో అధ్యయనం చేశాడు .’’philosophically concerned ,the universe is composed of nature and soul ‘’అని అభిప్రాయపడ్డాడు .ఎందరెందరో రచయితలకు వేదాన్తులకు తత్వ వేత్తలకు ఎమర్సన్ మార్గ దర్శి .తన రచనా సర్వస్వాన్ని సంక్షిప్తం గా చెప్పమని కోరితే ఎమర్సన్ ‘’my central doctrine is the infinitude of the private man ‘’అని స్పస్టపరచాడు .

1840లో పర్సియన్ కవిత్వం చదివి ‘’సాదీ ‘’అనే కవితను ఆ పర్సియన్ కవి పేరు మీదనే రాశాడు .సాదీ ఒంటరి జీవి .ఎంతమంది అనుచరులున్నా ఒంటరి గానే గుహలో ఉండేవాడు .భగవంతుని మేధస్సు న్న వాడు .యుద్ధం లో ఉన్నా పట్నం లో ఉన్నా అతనికి ఏకాంతమే ఇష్టం .మనిషి బంధజీవి అని నమ్మాడు .సాదీ భాషలో సూర్య చంద్రులు ఉదయించి అస్తమిస్తారు .సాదీ అంటే ఎమర్సన్ అనే అతని భావాలు సరిహద్దుల్ని చెరిపి వేసి విశ్వం అంతా వ్యాపించాయని అంటారు .’సాదీ ‘’అనే కలం పేరు తో ఎమర్సన్ చాలా రాశాడుకూడా .

భారత దేశానికి చెందిన ‘’విష్ణు పురాణం ‘’లోని ఒక కధను ‘’హమాత్రేయ ‘’పేరా కవిత్వీకరింఛి1845లో   ఎమర్సన్  ప్ర చురించాడు . మైత్రేయ కు ఎమర్సన్ పెట్టిన పేరే ‘’హమాత్రేయ ‘’.పరాశర సంహితల ప్రకారం ఈ భూమి నాది అని రాజు భావిస్తే అతనికోడుకుదీ అవుతుంది ఆ వంశానికే భూమి చెంది ఉంటుంది.ఆ వంశం ,రాజ్యం నాశనమైనా భూమి అలాగే ఉండిపోతుంది .మనిషి అశాశ్వత జీవితాన్ని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని ఎమర్సన్ ఈ కవిత రాశాడు .అమెరికా లోని కంకార్డ్ లో మొదట సెటిల్ అయిన యూరోపియన్ల లిస్టు లో తన వారైన’’ బుల్కిలీ ‘’ని కూడా చేర్చాడు .అమెరికాలో అయినా భారత్ లో నైనా భూమిపై హక్కు శాశ్వతం కాదు సెటిలర్ల్ చని పోయారు .శాశ్వతం గా  జీవించలేదు .’’dwell in the conception  of fundamental  unity ‘’అనే సిద్ధాంతాన్ని ఇందులో చెప్పాడు .తూర్పు దేశాలు ‘’అనంతత్వాన్ని ‘’విశ్వ శించితే పశ్చిమ దేశాల వారు ‘’సరిహద్దులు ‘’గీసుకొని జీవిస్తున్నారని చెప్పాడు ఎమర్సన్ .ఆసియా అని ఎమర్సన్ అన్నప్పుడల్లా ఆయన మనసులో ఉన్నది భారత దేశమే .యూరోపియన్ ల కర్తవ్య భావం ,చైతన్యం ,సృజన అంటే ఇష్టమే .

1856లో ‘’సాంగ్ ఆఫ్ దిసోల్’’ రాసి 1857లో దానినే ‘’అట్లాంటిక్ ‘’పేపర్ లో ‘’బ్రహ్మ ‘’అనే పేరుతొ ముద్రించాడు .ఇందులో ఎమర్సన్ కున్న హిందూ అభిమానం అక్షర సత్యం గా కని  పిస్తుంది .సృష్టికర్త అయిన బ్రహ్మను ఉద్దేశించి లేక పరబ్రహ్మ ను గురించి రాసిన కవిత ఇది .పేరుమాత్రం పెట్టలేదు .భారతీయ సాహిత్య సారాంశం అంతా ఇందులో నిక్షిప్తం చేశాడు .భగవద్ గీత ,కఠోపనిషత్ ల మూల భావాలను క్రోడీకరించాడు .’’the red slayer’’అనే మాట శివునికి అన్వయించాడు .ఈ కవితను అర్ధం చేసుకోవటానికి హిందూ ఫిలాసఫీ చదివి ఉండక్కర లేదని ఇందులోని బ్రహ్మ అనే పదానికి బదులు ‘’జెహోవా’’అని చేర్చి చదివితే అంతా అర్ధమవుతుందని తన కూతురికి ఎమర్సన్ బోధించాడు .పర్సియన్ గ్రీక్  హీబ్రు  భారతీయ  జర్మన్  సాహిత్యాన్ని ఆయా భాషలలో ఎమర్సన్ చదవక పోయినా వాటిని అనువాదాలలో చదివి జీర్ణం చేసుకొని ఏదైనా రాశాడు .64పర్షియన్  భాషా కవితలను సుమారు 700పంక్తులలో ఎమర్సన్ అనువదించాడు .ఇవన్నీ అట్లాంటిక్ పేపర్లో ప్రచురించాడు .1865లో అమెరికన్ ల కోసం ‘’గులిస్తాన్ ‘’అనువదించి ముద్రించాడు .ఇప్పుడు ఎమర్సన్ కవితా ఝరిని దర్శిద్దాం .

1-through a thousand voices –spoke the universal dame –who telleth one of my meanings –is master of all I am ?

2-aal are needed by each one –nothing is  fair or good alone

3-we plot and corrupt each other –and we despoil the un born

4-art its height could never hit –it came never out of wit .

5-come learn with me the fatal song –which knits the world in music strong .

6-nature shall mind her own affairs –I shall attend my proper cases –in rain or sun or frost .

7-give all to love –obey thy heart –friends kindred days –estate good favour –plans credit and muse –nothing refuse .

8-Gothe raised over joy and strife –drew the firm lines of fate and life –and brought Olympian wisdom down –to court and mart to gown and town –stooping his finger wrote in clay –the open secret of today .9-true Brahmin in the morning meadows wet –expound the Vedas of the violet –or id in vines peering through many a loop –

9-I am not wised for my age –nor skilful by my grief –life loiters at the book’s first page –ah !could we turn the leaf?

10-the sun is the sole inconsumable fire –and God is the sole inexhaustible giver .

11-God will keep his promise yet –trees and clouds are prophets sure –and new and finer forms of life –day by day approach the pure ‘’

12-poets of poets –is time the distiller chemist refines

13-చిత్రకారుడు శిల్పి ‘’మైకేలాన్జేలో ‘గురించి

‘’and if kindled at their light I burn –in my noble flame sweetly shines –the eternal joy  which smiles in heaven ‘’

ఇలా ఎన్నో విలువైన కావితా పంక్తుల్ని రాసి మెప్పించాడు ఎమర్సన్ మహా కవి తత్వ వేత్త విమర్శకుడు దార్శనికుడు .   సమాప్తం
