ఫ్రెంచ్ విప్లవ స్పూర్తి వోల్టేర్ -3(చివరి భాగం )

వోల్టేర్ ఏది చేసినా అందులో ఒక వింత ఉంటుంది .చరిత్రను అంత్య ప్రాస బద్ధం గా అంటే రైమింగ్ తో రాశాడు .చారిత్రిక పరిశోధనను సత్య ద్రుష్టి తో చేశాడు .’’ఆయన ఒక అద్భుతం ఒక చరిత్ర సంఘటన .ఆయన చరిత్ర రాశాడు అంటే అందుకే ఆయన జన్మించాడు ‘’అని అందరూ అభిప్రాయ పడ్డారు .’’చరిత్ర రాసి వోల్టేర్ చరిత్ర సృష్టించాడు ‘’అని మెచ్చారు .సెప్టిజం అంటే .అనుమానానికి ప్రాధాన్యం ఇచ్చాడు .చరిత్రకారుడికి కావాల్సింది తన విశ్వాసాల పై  నమ్మకం ,ధైర్యం మాత్రమె కాదు ,తన నమ్మకాలను ప్రశ్నించే అవకాశం ఇవ్వటం కూడా  అదే చేశాడు వోల్టేర్ మహాశయుడు .అందుకే ఆయన్ను చరిత్రకారుల్లో నిజాయితీ పరుడు (moralist in historians )అన్నారు .’’history is created by men ,rather than by luck ,fate ,or Gods ‘’అని చెప్పాడు .ఏది చెప్పినా శాస్త్రీయ దృక్పధం తోనే చెప్పాడు .ఇంగ్లాండ్ ఫిలాసఫర్ జాన్ లాకే అంటే వీరాభిమానం మాత్రమె కాదు ఆయనతో తరచూ సంభాషిస్తూండే వాడు .

‘’If one religion only allowed in England ,the government would be very possibly become arbitrary .if there were two ,the people would cut one another’s throats  but as there is such a multitude ,they all live happily and peace ‘’అన్న తాత్వికుడు .ఇది మన దేశానికీ వర్తిన్చేమాటే . .

‘’గతం ప్రస్తుతాన్ని గర్భం గా దాల్చినప్పుడు ,వర్తమానం భవిష్యత్తును గర్భ ధారణ చేస్తుంది .ప్రతిదీ పుట్టేదే .కాని ప్రతిదీ గర్భం దాల్చలేదు .అదొక ‘’జీనలాజికల్ వృక్షం ‘’అన్నాడు .

‘’continue to cultivate virtue to be  beneficent to regard all superstition with horror or with pity ,but adore with me ,the design witch is manifested in all nature and consequently the author of that design –the primordial and final cause of all. Hope with me that our monad  which reasons as the great eternal being ,may be happy ,through that same great being .one must be ones own doctor ,live on a careful diet and nature from time to time ,never force her ,above all know how to suffer ,grow old and die ‘’అని జీవిత సత్యాలను తెలియ జేశాడు .

వోల్టేర్ ఒక గొప్ప’’ కామిక్ జీనియస్ ‘’.కొన్ని  తమాషా వియాలను  చెప్పాడు .1-’’England has 42 religions and two sauces .2-the husband who desires to surprise is often very much be surprised himself .3-the fate of a nation depends upon the good and bad digestion of a prime minister .4-common sense is not so common .5-I was never ruined but twice –once – when I lost a lawsuit and once when I won it.6-a woman can keep one secret–her age .

-when it is a question of many ,every body of the same religion what does it mean to be free?అని ప్రశ్నిస్తే ‘’It means to reason correctly ,to know the rights of man ,and when they are well known they are well defended ‘’అని సమాధానమిచ్చాడు .

వోల్టేర్ అంటే ఫ్రెంచ్ విప్లవం తో పూర్తిగా ముడి పడి ఉన్నవాడు .1944లో ఫ్రాన్స్ జర్మనీ నుంచి విడుదలై స్వాతంత్ర్యాన్ని పొందింది .అప్పుడు వోల్టేర్ 250వ జయంతిని ఘనం గా జరుపుకొన్నారు .ఇంతకీ వోల్టేర్విగ్రహం  ముఖం లో కనిపించే చిరునవ్వు ఎవరిది ?దీనికి సమాధానం గా ‘’గౌతమ బుద్ధుడి చిరునవ్వు కావచ్చు .సోక్రటీస్ నవ్వూ అయి ఉండచ్చు .లేకపోతే Montaigne దరహాసం కానోపు .Perhaps all of these .అని సంతృప్తి పడ్డారు .

తన నమ్మకాలను ఏ దేవుడూ ప్రభావితం చేయలేదు అన్నాడు వోల్టేర్ .తన సిద్దాన్తాలకోసం ఎవరూ త్యాగం చేసి అమర వీరులవ్వ కూడదని కోరుకొన్నాడు . ‘’He stood for one thing –Sanity His was a sanity of reason of mutual aid ,of tolerance of peace and of moderation in all things .Voltaire has reason to smile .His universe was governed not only by gravity but by levity .The moralist behind the mask loved to live and laugh ‘’అని పుస్తకాన్ని ముగించాడు రచయిత  పీటన్ రిచ్ టర్.

Despite the criticism of Abrahamic religions, Voltaire had a positive view of Hinduism;^[] the sacred text Vedas was remarked on by him as follows:

The Veda was the most precious gift for which the West had ever been indebted to the East.

He regarded Hindus as “[a] peaceful and innocent people, equally incapable of hurting others or of defending themselves.”^[102] Voltaire was himself a supporter ofanimal rights. He used the ancient times of Hinduism to land a devastating blow to the Bible’s claims and acknowledged that the Hindus’ treatment of animals shown a shaming alternative to the immorality of European imperialists.^[
